Church 'n' Chips

"Church 'n' Chips", is an informal, lively worship time for all ages with craft activities and a meal. Held once a month at the Church Centre, on a third Friday at 5.30pm ending with a relaxed time to get to know each other over a meal at 6.00pm.

Exploring Christianity

There are regular opportunities for those who want to find out what the Christian faith is all about. We use the Alpha Course and other events for those who have questions or want to know more. Please contact the church office to find out what is available .

Christianity Explored

Busy Bees

Parent and Toddler Group meets during term time at the Church Centre on Thursday mornings 10.00–11.30am, Thursday afternoons 1.30-2.45pm. Busy Bees is for babies, pre-school children and the adults who care for them.

Seeking to provide a safe, caring environment for preschool children and their carers by sharing God’s love.

Childrens & Youth Groups

As well as meeting on a Sunday during our Church Services we have a Bible Club called Lighthouse that meets on Wednesdays during term time 3.45pm (doors open 3.15pm) - 4.30pm in our Church Centre with Bible Stories, Craft, Fun and Games for 6-11 year olds (Primary School Years Two to Six).

We also have Encounter Youth group for 11–18 year olds. Encounter meets at the Church Centre on the second and fourth Friday of the month from 5.30 to 7.15pm. Pizza, fun and faith.

Bibles held in the air

Holmer Hub

Meets at the Church Centre every Wednesday morning 10.30am – 12 noon. Proper coffee (including decaf), cake and a nice atmosphere. Arrange to meet up with friends or just come – all ages are welcome.

Men's Group

We meet monthly for a variety of events – check on our Facebook page or Contact us to see what’s on. Events include putting competition, pub walk, quiz evening, etc

Prayer @ the Centre

An opportunity to pray together for the needs of God’s world, our community, Churches, for those in need and to give thanks. We have a time of worship and sometimes pray in small groups. We meet weekly on Tuesdays at 1:00pm in the Church Centre and on the Third Thursday of each month at 7:30pm.

Bible Study Home Groups

We meet weekly or fortnightly in various homes for friendship, worship and to look at how the Bible helps us to live as Christians.

Bell Ringing

Holmer Church's historic detached bell tower has a peal of six bells which are rung every Sunday to call us to worship. For more information about Bell Ringing visit https://holmerbells.zyrosite.com/ .

Friendship Group

Holmer Friendship Group meets once a month and is especially for those who want to get to know other people in the church. Often there is a speaker, but the group also enjoy meals together at the local pub and other social activities.

Baptisms and Christenings

For those who would like their children to be Christened/Baptised at Holmer Church please either Contact the Vicar for details or simply come along to our All Age Service on the1st Sunday of the month 11.00am in the Church Centre where we will have list of dates available and information to give you.
